History

BRONMETAL was created in 1988 with the aim of offering solutions in non-ferrous metals; with a strategic vocation of specialisation and adaptation to the customer-based market.

Initially, its main product was bronze. In the 1990s, BRONMETAL began to operate in the market for copper and its derivatives, as a product with more commercial output, due to the shortage of supply at national level and high import prices.

In this context, BRONMETAL adopted the strategy of offering imported products at a competitive price and with a wide range of measurements. A strategy that boosted BRONMETAL in the copper market for industrial and electrical uses, achieving substantial growth in its first few years of business.

In the mid 1990s, BRONMETAL entered the electrical sector, becoming consolidated as a benchmark in the sector.

In 1995, it opened its new distribution centre in Sant Esteve Sesrovires (Barcelona); in 1998, the branch office in Aldaya (Valencia) and in 2000, a distribution centre in Getafe (Madrid).

At the dawn of the new millennium, the internationalization process begins through the Portuguese market, thanks to a wide range of products, formats, and measurements. In pursuit of excellence, in 2002, BRONMETAL achieves ISO 9001:2000 Quality Certification, relocating its administrative and business center to an industrial plant of 18,000 m2 on the outskirts of Bilbao (Larrabetzu).

Over the past decade, due to the growth of the electrical sector driven by increased demand and renewable energies, new specialized products are introduced, and expansion into North Africa, France, and Eastern European countries begins, making BRONMETAL the leader in the sale and distribution of copper, alloyed copper, brass, bronze, aluminum, and alloys.
