BRONMETAL, leader in the sale and distribution of copper, copper alloy, brass, bronze, aluminium and alloys, was founded in 1988 with the purpose of providing solutions in non-ferrous metals, with the strategic vocation of specialising and adapting to our customer market.
In the early years, the main product was bronze (which is where the company name comes from). In the 1990s, BRONMETAL began to work in the copper and copper derivates market, which was more commercially promising product given the small number of suppliers in Spain.
Thus, BRONMETAL adopted a strategy of supplying imported products at competitive prices and in a wide range of sizes. A strategy that soon led BRONMETAL towards the copper for industrial and electrical uses market, achieving significant economic growth in the first few years.
In the mid-1990s, BRONMETAL moved into the electrical sector and soon established itself as the benchmark in this sector. In 1995, the company opened its new distribution centre in Sant Esteve Sesrovires (Barcelona); a sales office in Aldaya (Valencia) in 1998 and a further distribution centre in Getafe (Madrid) in 2000.
At the turn of the millennium, Bronmental embarked on its internationalization process, expanding into Portugal thanks to its wide range of products, formats and sizes. As part of the company's continual search for excellence, in 2003 BRONMETAL was awarded the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Certificate and moved its administration and business offices to an 18,000 m2 industrial plant just outside Bilbao (Larrabetzu).
Over the past decade, thanks to the growth of the electrical sector as a result of greater demand and renewable energy, new specialist products have been incorporated into the range and the company has expanded into North Africa, France and Eastern Europe, thereby making BRONMETAL the leading seller and distributor of copper, copper alloy, brass, bronze, aluminium and alloys.
