Description
Copper-tellurium alloy bars.
Bronmetal offers copper and tellurium alloy bars, manufactured in accordance with the standards detailed below:
- EN 12164
- ASTM B301
- BS 2874
- DIN 17666
Copper and tellurium alloys are a combination of high electrical and thermal conductivity and excellent machinability; bars made of this material are used to manufacture components that require high dimensional precision, in order to produce large quantities of machined pieces at high cutting speeds.
RANGE AND TECHNICAL DATA:
Length between 2000 and 4000 mm, with a tolerance of +/- 50 mm.
The ends of the bars are bevelled on one side to a dimension of 30 mm.
ADVANTAGES:
- Copper-tellurium alloy with a content of approx. 1 % has cutting characteristics similar to those of brass with lead.
When it is machined, a short and brittle shaving is obtained, which corresponds to the materials from the first cutting group. - They have excellent cutting properties.
- They are environmentally safe because they do not contain lead.
