Alloys with a high nickel content that have high resistance to corrosion and saline environments.
Main applications: Alloys are used in pump shafts, valves, attachment elements, clamps and a variety of accessories.
We call Alloys those materials that are high nickel content alloys.
Main grades supplied by Bronmetal: MONEL 400, MONEL K-500, HASTEALLOY C-276, INCOLOY 825, ALLOY A-286, 80A, TITANIO, MARAGING TYPE 250, MARAGING TYPE 300 and Ph 13/8 Mo, amongst others. Other grades available upon sales query.
QUALITY | APPLICATIONS |
---|---|
MONEL 400 | Resistant to seawater, sulphuric, phosphoric and hydrochloric acid, ammonium sulphate, fatty acids, etc. For the manufacture of valves and pumps, shafts and propellers, fixing elements and accessories for naval applications, pickling plants, ethyl chloride purifcation, chlorinated solvents, salt production, crude distillation towers… |
MONEL K-500 | Alloy resistant to corrosion, very low temperatures, non-magnetic up to -130ºC. Used for shafts and pump drivers, collars for drilling oil wells, spring and valve accessories. |
HASTELLOY C-276 | Resistant to corrosion by pitting, corrosion under stress and oxidizing atmospheres up to 1038ºC |
INCOLOY 825 | Developed for used in very agressive corrosive areas, resistant to attack from oxidizing acids and reducing agents, to pitting and to intergranular attack when heated to critical temperature range of sensitivity. Its resistance to corrosion in contact with sulphuric and phosphoric acid solutions and with seawater is exceptionally good. Used in phosphoric acid evaporators, pickling equipment and facilities, combustible nuclear element recovery plants and tankers for road transport. |
ALLOY A-286 | Alloy which may be used up to 700ºC. Utilized in the aeroespace sector, petro-chemical industry and in gas turbines. |
TITANIUM | Alloy with exceptional resistance to corrosion thanks to its afinity with oxygen and its exceptional stability and resistance to metal oxide corrosion, once formed. Widely used in the aeronautics and petro-chemical industries, electro-chemical procedures, surgical implants, ultrasound… There are different degrees of titanium depending on its composition. |
